Dilaudid, Oxycocet seized in drug bust

SUMMERSIDE — A 50-year-old woman and 45-year-old man were arrested Tuesday following a drug bust where powerful prescription drugs were seized.

Prince District JFO Drug Unit, Summerside Police Services and East Prince RCMP searched a Central Street residence and arrested the two people on the scene.

During the search, police located 55 eight-milligram Dilaudid pills, 12 Oxycocet pills, a morphine pill, digital scale, score sheet and a cellphone.

The woman was released and is scheduled to appear at a later date in Summerside provincial court. She faces charges of possession of hydromorphone for the purpose of trafficking and possession of oxycodone for the purpose of trafficking.

The man was released without being charged.
