Vintage snowmobile races planned

WEST DEVON -- The Prince County Vintage Snowmobile Racing Club has another weekend of racing planned for February 16 and 17.

Racing will get underway on Mary’s River in West Devon at 1 p.m. both days.

The last time races were held there one sped completed the 660-foot (one-eighths of a mile) track in 5.8 seconds, achieving speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The races are for vintage sleds, 1992 models and over.

Entries are expected in more than a dozen classes Spectators are welcome. Canteen service will be available right on the ice.
