MILL RIVER -- The third annual CBDC West Prince Ventures Ltd. Youth Forum will be held at the Rodd Mill River Resort on Wednesday, March 13.

The forum, which is directed at young people between the ages of 16 to 29, promotes the option of starting ones own business. The theme is, ‘The Doors are Open..for You to Succeed.’

As special emphasis and encouragement, some of Prince Edward Island’s most successful business owners will be in attendance to share their experience, including their journey into the world of developing and growing a profitable enterprise.

The forum, which will run form 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will include a workshop to engage participants in exploring and investigating the possibility of being a business owner. There will also be other workshops, presentations, and sessions led by local business owners.

There are a variety of means for West Prince youth to register for the free forum. They can call Cletus Dunn at 853-3636, email him at cletus.nunn@cbdc.ca or visit the forum’s website: westprinceyouthforum.com.

21% of young people age 15 to 25 can't compete in a global economy. The province isn't testing young people in grades 9 and grades 12 for reading ability and reading comprehension, yet these students are graduating and then enter low paying jobs. The province should be paying compensation to these young people. Then everybody succeeds.
