ELMSDALE -- Schools across Prince Edward Island are delaying dismissal times by one hour to give sanders and salters more time to deal with the build-up of ice from today’s freezing rain.

A spokesman for the English Language School Board said school administrators would be advising students who have their own vehicle at school to also delay their departure.

The English Language School Board will decide later in the afternoon whether a further delay in dismissal time is warranted.

The French Language School Board could not be reached for comment.
