Circulation office reopens

Phone service was restored this morning to the Journal Pioneer office in downtown Summerside.

Office operations were disrupted late Friday evening after a sprinkler pipe above the second floor of the building broke, flooding the offices below. The building also houses a number of condominiums.

Publisher Sandy Rundle reports that our Circulation department was able to reopen this morning and will remain open until noon.

Reporters are working as usual and clean up crews are on site.

Dear Readers,

Due to a flood caused by a sprinkler break at the Journal Pioneer offices late Friday evening, our operations have been disrupted.

Although our phone system is currently out of service, we are continuing cleanup and repairs  and hope to have our Circulation Department open Saturday morning.

We ask for your patience while we get back to full operation. We will be publishing Monday as scheduled and the news and sports staff are working as usual.

For updates on the Journal Pioneer's status and for all your news and sports updates please visit us here at www.journalpioneer.com

Thank you for your patience and understanding,
