MORELL - The provincial fire marshal's office was called in to investigate a fire in a commercial woodworking building on Route 2 in Morell early this morning. Fire Marshal Dave Rossiter has ruled the fire as accidental.

He has determined that the fire began in the south end of the facility. The exact cause of the fire is undetermined due to the extent of damage.

Morell Fire Department received the call at 12:48 a.m. and responded with St. Peters, Mt. Stewart, and East River fire departments.

The call came in as an automatic fire alarm. About 35 firefighters were on the scene in frigid temperatures.
