Two men face fraud charges

SUMMERSIDE — A 20-year-old city man and a 19-year-old Georgetown, Ont., man face fraud charges following an alleged incident at a Summerside store on Wednesday.

Summerside Police Services laid the charges.

It is alleged that the two men entered Canadian Tire and tried to purchase merchandise after they had changed price tags on the items.

The price on one item was allegedly changed from $150 to $17.93 and on a second item from $69 to $9.93.

The two men were released and will appear in Summerside provincial court at a later date.

 

CHARGE WITH TRESPASSING

A 23-year-old Summerside man was charged Wednesday afternoon with trespassing. He had been served a trespass notice not to enter a city business on a previous date.

 

iPAD STOLEN

City police are investigating the report of an iPad being stolen.

The report came from a Sackville, N.S., man who alleged that the iPad was stolen from his room at a local hotel.

The iPad has a small crack on the top left-hand corner of the screen.
