Police investigating break and enters, thefts from vehicles

SUMMERSIDE — A television, jewelry and cash were stolen in a break and enter into an apartment on Phaneuf Avenue over the weekend.

City police are investigating. Thieves made off with a 40-inch flat screen television.

Police also recently responded to at least three residences on Bernard Avenue and Century Court where window screens were cut and attempts were made to get in.

At one residence, entry was gained and money stolen from a purse.

Overnight Monday, city police received five reports of vehicles that had been rummaged through and items taken from some the vehicles.

Police are reminding the public to lock their vehicles and remove anything of value.
