BROOKVALE – Skiers and snowboarders can now dust off their gear and get ready to hit the slopes as the ski hill at Brookvale Winter Activity Park opens this Friday.
“The Brookvale Winter Activity Park offers excellent venues for a wide variety of winter activities including downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and tubing,” said Minister of Tourism and Culture Robert Henderson. “These facilities help motivate Islanders to get active and help to promote healthy lifestyles. That’s why I encourage all Islanders to take in the slopes or trails at Brookvale this winter.”
The nordic centre at Brookvale opened earlier this week with
several kilometres of groomed trails ready for cross-country skiers.
The cross-country trails and sliding hill at Mill River
Provincial Park also opened for the season earlier this week.
