A three vehicle collision in Wellington Centre on Monday sent two of the drivers to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the third vehicle was unharmed.

The crash happened at about 11 a.m. on Route 2, near the turn off to Abram-Village.

According to East Prince RCMP, an east-bound pickup truck lost control and veered across the path of a west-bound pickup truck. Then, another west-bound vehicle, a jeep, struck one of the already damaged vehicles.

Each vehicle had only one occupant, all were males.

The highway was blocked for about 90 minutes as crews worked to clear the scene of debris.

The RCMP has stated that the crash is still under investigation, but that charges being laid are unlikely.
