Even if tonight's snow doesn't stick around it won't take long for it to be replaced.

Environment Canada is now predicting upwards of 20 cm of snow could hit Prince Edward Island this Sunday.

However, the weather service notes that this system is moving rapidly and could change direction enough to alter snowfall amounts.

If you haven’t already it might be a good idea to dust off that snow shovel collecting dust in the garage.

A winter storm warning is in effect for all of Prince County today.

According to Environment Canada this part of the province is expected to get 15 cm of snow by early Friday morning.

The weather system will move into the area overnight before turning into rain showers later on Friday.

Strong easterly winds are also forecasted, with gusts of 70 km/h around midnight.
