Winds could force vehicle restrictions on bridge

BORDEN-CARLETON – Motorists using the Confederation Bridge on Friday are being advised of a wind warning that may force traffic restrictions.

According to the site-specific weather forecast from Scotia Weather Services, winds are expected to reach the 60 to 70 kilometre-per-hour range with gusts to 90km/hour by 7 a.m. Friday.

The forecast indicated conditions will remain the same until approximately 12 p.m.

Any vehicle restrictions will be posted on confederationbridge.com, or on the bridge’s mobile app.
