SUMMERSIDE - Sales were steady at the ShipYard on Thursday, the first day of the Journal Pioneer and Rotary Club of Summerside’s annual book drive for literacy.

Even TC Media mascot “Scoop” was eager to collect some good reads, along with Three Oaks Senior High students (from left) Amanda Mellish, Emma Barlow and Kayla Creelman.

The sale continues Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All proceeds collected over the three days go toward the Journal Pioneer’s Newspapers In Education fund and Rotary’s literacy projects.
