City seeking heritage nominations

SUMMERSIDE - Tomorrow at 4 p.m. is the deadline for Summerside Heritage and Culture Award nominations. Nomination forms are available at MacNaught History Centre and Archives on Spring Street between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Nominations can be made in the categories of heritage activities, cultural activities, natural heritage activity, volunteer of the year, youth volunteer of the year, publication of the year and award of honour.

Nominees should exhibit a significant achievement in heritage or cultural expression in Summerside and surrounding area during 2010.

Awards will be presented during the annual Mayor's Heritage Tea at City Hall on Friday, Feb. 25, at 1 p.m.
