SUMMERSIDE - Summerside police are looking for the public's assistance in locating a 50-year-old city man.

Michael John Gallant was last seen at his residence on Pope Road over the noon hour on Monday, Nov. 23.

His family is concerned as he is on medication.

Police say although it is unusual for Gallant to wander from his home he did so in July 2007 and was not located until three days later. At that time, it was determined he had been wandering in a wooded area off Greenwood Drive.

Gallant is described as being approximately five feet eight inches tall, very frail, with salt and pepper hair, mustache and glasses. He was wearing jeans and a black windbreaker style jacket with a grey collar.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Summerside police at 432-1201 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
