TORONTO - Middleweight contender Chris Weidman has dropped out of his UFC 155 bout with Tim (The Barbarian) Boetsch because of a torn labrum.
Costa Philippou steps in for his training partner against Boetsch on Dec. 29 in Las Vegas.
Philippou was slated to meet Calgary's Nick (The Promise) Ring at UFC 154 in Montreal last Saturday but the fight was scrapped at the last minute after the Canadian fell ill.
