Partial closure tonight on Charlottetown perimeter highway

CHARLOTTETOWN -- Beginning at 5:30 p.m. today there will be a partial closure and detour on the Charlottetown perimeter highway.

The closure affects west bound traffic between Mount Edward Road and Route 2 West, the Malpeque Road. The closure is necessary to allow for construction activities on that section of road.

A detour will be in place until early tomorrow morning.

It is as follows: traffic heading west on the Charlottetown perimeter highway will turn onto Mount Edward Road, left onto Sherwood Road, left onto Route 2 and right on to the Charlottetown perimeter highway heading west. Please use caution in the area.
