SUMMERSIDE - A recall of Honda vehicles is minor and could only affect about 20 Summerside customers, says the Summerside dealership's general manager.
Earlier this week, the manufacturer announced a recall of 24,680 Odysseys and over 4,000 Elements in Canada. More than 400,000 vehicles were also recalled in the U.S.
Honda's is the latest in a series of auto company recalls over the past several weeks. Ira Kember, general manager of Summerside Centennial Honda, said the media is simply more attuned to the issue.

"You're going to have the odd recall every now and then," said Kember. "Recalls are as old as cars. We're just hearing more about it right now."
The recall is due to complaints of brake pedals that feel or exhibit a pedal height that becomes closer to the floor in 2007-2008 models.
Honda Canada said the condition tends to develop over time and is caused by antilock brake modulators that could allow air intrusion. The company says a slow build up of air entering the ABS system can result in the soft brake pedal condition.
Honda is encouraging owners to take affected vehicles into an authorized dealer as soon as possible, and will send out notifications to affected customers beginning at the end of April.
Owners can inquire as to whether their vehicle needs repair by calling 1-888-946-6329. Kember estimated 15 to 20 drivers in the Summerside area would be affected by the recall.
