A new weblog aimed at car culture geeks is set to go online Monday, June 14.
www.shiftanddrive.com is "the car blog for geeks," according to its founder, Summerside's Mark Stevenson. He says the blog will offer a new view of car culture from individuals with backgrounds in information technology and other knowledge sectors.
With the increasing amount of in-vehicle technology and personal electronic device integration, shift+drive caters to a new audience - the technophile car geek - offering articles on a wide range of topics where technology and cars intersect.
"Our goal is to be the go-to website for technophiles interested in auto-industry technology," says Stevenson, founder and owner of shift+drive. "Many knowledge workers worldwide are deeply involved in car culture as a pastime. In addition, the auto industry is heavily populated by professionals who embrace cutting-edge technology. We want to offer these groups engaging, relevant content that differs from what's found in more traditional automotive media outlets."
Shift+drive features writers from the United States and Canada with experience in automotive and information technology publishing. The website will initially target readers in North America.
