ABRAM-VILLAGE – This year, the Agricultural Exhibition and Acadian Festival will present Remi – A World of Magic, a highly interactive show filled with brilliant magic, outstanding illusions and original comedy.

Remi Boudreau, an extraordinary magician, appeals to both young and old during his captivating performances. During the weekend, from Aug. 28 to 31, Remi – A World of Magic will be presented in a series of four shows, with two on Saturday and two on Sunday.

Two new games are also added to the list of activities: Bubble Soccer and Euro Bungee. Bubble Soccer, also called Bubble Football, is a new sport that combines the popular game of soccer and the smashing contact between giant bubbles.

Bubble Soccer is a concept, in which players engage in a real soccer game, but wearing huge transparent plastic bubbles that cover them from head to thighs. They can collide and fall to the ground without getting hurt. Bubble Soccer will be available from Friday to Sunday.

The Euro Bungee is bungee jumping with a trampoline. People are secured in a harness that is attached to suspended bungee cords. They then use the trampoline to propel themselves up in the air to perform gravity-defying manoeuvres, flips and tricks. The Euro Bungee will be available on Sunday only.

Another activity is the Provincial Boot Throwing Competition. During the weekend, people can demonstrate their boot throwing skills for the title of Champion of the Provincial Boot Throwing Competition.

Although the Acadian Feast with Lobster is not a new activity, each year new artists are featured at this event.

This year, the invited chef is Food Network’s Corbin Tomaszeski and the artists who will provide the entertainment are Nick Arsenault, Samantha Arsenault, Hélène Bergeron, Jeannita Bernard and the young step-dancers, Les Étoiles d'Acadie.

Returning new activities are the poles climbers and the children’s games. The ever popular pole climber, Gerard (Gerry) Arsenault, will again perform magnificent acrobatic shows and aerial madness at the top of tall poles.

His show will be held on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

The inflatable games and playground games will again be available to the younger children. All these games will be available on Saturday and Sunday.
