Red Moon Road features Daniel Jordan, Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner and singer Sheena Rattai.
After playing at the Albert and Crown Pub in Alberton on Sunday night, Red Moon Road is coming to Milton on Monday, Aug. 4, at 7:30 p.m.
Red Moon Road will also be joined on stage by local artists Janet McGarry and Serge Bernard.
Born in a storm on a wild Canadian lake, Red Moon Road came into its own on the trails between coast and coast. All credit goes to the chemistry and to the magic that happens when the band's two Daniels - jazz-trained Daniel Jordan and bilingual prog-rock vet Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner - strum up the strings to support singer Sheena Rattai. From living rooms to folk fest stages, the three have charmed fans with their lush and lively take on modern roots, peppered with bright stage banter, harmonies and masterfully told stories.
As you can hear on their new EP "Tales from the Whiteshell" or their eponymous debut album, it's rich and warm. For more info on the band visit: http://redmoonroad.com/music.php
McGarry has been a dominant presence in bluegrass music, both at home and abroad for the past 15 years and has released her 11th CD, titled "Beneath a Painted Sky."
Bernard is an accomplished instrumentalist, playing mandolin, guitar, fiddle, dobro, bass and his main instrument of choice - banjo.
