MILTONVALE PARK — Milton Community Hall will be the site of the latest performance of “2014 Minutes of Story and Song.”

Dino Dunsford will perform as part of Friday night's show.

The Community of Miltonvale Park is presenting Alan Buchanan and Dino Dunsford, Bob Gagnon and Judy Lowe this Friday for one of the shows in their year-long series.

Showtime is 7:30 p.m.

Given his rich history with the Liberal party, Buchanan is an uplifting Island spirit with many stories to tell.

Having been actively involved in health care and social service issues, he has strong links to both his community and the province.

Even with such a formal history, Buchanan has entertained audiences with his lively humour. His talent for storytelling taking him to stages across the Island, including the Festival of Small Halls, and even to St. John’s, N.L.

An award-winning artist, Dunsford, backed by Lowe on piano and Gagnon on drums, will offer up selections from country, gospel, Irish and rock ‘n roll, covering such artists as Elvis Presley, Johhny Cash and Johhny Reid.

Dunsford first sang in public in 1966 in a university variety show. He has been involved in many genres of music and has shared the stage with Chubby Checker and John Allen Cameron.

Dunsford has sung the national anthems at many functions, including the NHL Ottawa Senators AHL team home games, and was voted the best male vocalist for his province in 1989.

A surprise guest artist will round out the evening.

Tickets are available at the door or can be reserved by calling 902-368-3090 or visiting miltonvalepark.com.

Milton Community Hall is located at 7 New Glasgow Rd.
