MONT-CARMEL – This Sunday’s show at the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall will star Clarence Gallant, 4 Cord Boys, Katie McGarry and Jason Campbell.

The Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel announced the artists for this fourth of eight shows in their summer concert series.

Clarence Gallant is a harmonica player from the Mont-Carmel area. For several years, he has used his talents in fundraising activities to help numerous causes and people in the community.

Group members of 4 Cord Boys, Allan Gallant, Peter Arsenault, Pierre Poirier and Paul Arsenault, all from the Évangéline area, will interpret contemporary songs.

Singer/songwriter Katie McGarry will also perform a few songs from her latest album “Waiting On.” Since the release of her very first album “My Side of Town” in October 2010, she has quickly made a name for herself in the P.E.I. music industry.

Jason Campbell started to play at age 16 after finding his grandfather’s fiddle in the attic of the family home. Self-taught for the first few years, he had the chance to play at the Lobster Carnival and Old Home Week. He released his first CD in 2011 titled “Cape Winds.” In 2014, he graduated from the music performance program at Holland College.

He will also warm up the floor for dancers Isabelle and Danielle Saunders.

The Mont-Carmel concerts take place every Sunday at 7 p.m. until Aug. 24, and the doors of the Mont-Carmel Parish Hall (5786 Route 11) open at 6:15 p.m.

During the evening, spectators will be able to buy 50/50 tickets, and the canteen will be open. Admission is $8 for adults and $4 for students, while admission is free for preschoolers.
