ALBERTON -- Quebec actor/artist Trevor McKinven will be at the Albert & Crown Pub and Eatery this Sunday, June 1 to present his one-man play, They Came from Away.
The play recalls September 11, 2001, the day terrorist attacks struck the twin towers, temporarily grounding air travel in North America. That resulted in some 6,500 passengers being stranded in Gander, Newfoundland.
In the play, McKinven creates a reunion of some of those stranded passengers, portraying all of the roles himself.
After performing They Came from Away more than 100 times in three years, McKinven is finally bringing his play to the Maritimes. Sunday’s show at the Albert and Crown gets underway at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be reserved by calling the pub, 853-0000.
