KISH Prom to feature hypnotist

Saturday, May 31 - the spring prom will be held in the school gym from 9-10:30 p.m. Grads and their dates are to assemble at 8:30 p.m. and the walk-through will begin at 9 p.m.

From 10:30 p.m. until about 4 a.m., grads and their dates are encouraged to remain at the school for an evening filling with games, activities, prizes, refreshments and even a hypnotist. This event is hosted by the parents of Grade 12 students.

Grade 12 information

Tuesday, June 17 is the annual activity day and barbecue held at Burlington Amusement Park from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $10 per grad and is payable at the door. Parents of the graduates will be hosting the barbecue from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Burlington.

Thursday, June 19, is the non-denominational church service at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Kensington at 5 p.m. Graduates are to be at the school by 4:20 p.m. to put on their gowns prior to walking to the church. Please wear clothing appropriate to a special church service. Friends and family are welcome and should be at the church by 4:45 p.m.

Monday, June 23 is graduation rehearsal and graduation. The mandatory grad rehearsal starts at 10 a.m. at the school. The graduation ceremony itself starts at 7 p.m. in the school’s gym.  Grads must be at the school by 6:20 p.m. to robe and form the academic procession. Please dress semi-formal with dress footwear. 

June 23-24 – At 1:30 p.m., participation graduates will board buses at the school to travel to Charlottetown to the CARI Complex to participate in prepaid activities from 11:30 p.m. to 4 a.m.  It’s recommended you take a swimsuit, sneaks, hockey stick, skates, helmets and gym wear.  Food will be provided. Grads will be back at the school by 5 a.m.

Thank you to Sharon Cash, Bailea Bernard and Curtis Mill for all their work cleaning up the flower bed at the front of the school.

And thank you to everyone who supported the grad barbecue on Friday at the Scotiabank. We raised $1,300 that will help with safe grad activities. Great KISH spirit all day and a big thank you to the volunteers who helped out!
