Nancy Cole exhibition closes May 9

SUMMERSIDE -  “Threads of Relativity”, a blacklight exhibition by Nancy Cole, will close at Eptek Art & Culture Centre on Friday, May 9, to make way for “1964: The Year We Celebrated”.

"Threads of Reality", a blacklight exhibition by Nancy Cole, closes May 9 to make room for "1964: The Year We Celebrated" which will run from late-May to late-June.

The incoming exhibition will be a look at previous celebrations of the Charlottetown Conference, describes site director Paula Kenny.

The familiar milestone anniversaries of the conference all involved celebrations, or at least some expression of note, Kenny acknowledged, but it was the centennial in 1964 that saw real effort.

1964: The Year We Celebrated will be at Eptek from late May until late June.

The summer exhibition, a follow-up to 1964, will ironically be called “1864: The Year We Celebrate”. It will run from early July until mid-October, and present Island life in the 1860s, particularly Island perspectives of the Charlottetown Conference.

Further information on programs or exhibits at Eptek Art & Culture Centre may be obtained from the centre, at 888-8373, or online from www.peimuseum.com. Eptek is currently open Sundays 12 – 4 p.m., and Tues. – Fri. from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
