March Break is almost upon us and the Summerside Rotary Library invites you to join in on the fun that we have planned.
Summerside's Rotary Regional Library
We are starting off the week with Popsicle Stick Day. On Tuesday, March 18, at 2 p.m. we will be offering a session on popsicle stick crafting for kids. Bring yourself, your friends, and your imagination and we’ll provide the supplies.
You’ve all heard of Christmas in July, but on Wednesday, March 19, we will be celebrating Halloween in March. Join us in your finest (or spookiest) costume at 1:30 p.m. for a Halloween party. There will be games and treats for all involved in this spooktacular event!
On Thursday there will be a drawing session put on by the talented Maurice Bernard. The event takes place at 11 a.m. and is suitable for those who are five years or older. We do ask that you pre-register for this event by giving us a call or stopping in. Spaces are already filling up fast so don’t delay.
And to cap off the week, we will be celebrating the end of March break with a Mad Hatter Tea Party on Friday, March 21, at 2 p.m. Join us in making a zany hat, listening to some stories, playing games, and enjoying some ‚Äėtea‚Äô and cookies. Fancy/kooky clothing is entirely optional.
All events are free, most are drop in, and we welcome everyone to take part.
On top of these events we will continue to run our usual schedule of programs. Our Baby Lapsit session is every Wednesday morning at 9:30 and Preschool Story Time is held on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. We always look forward to seeing new faces so don’t be afraid to join in and be involved in our thriving library community.
For more information about the Summerside Rotary Library or to pre-register for the drawing event with Maurice on Thursday, March 20, visit 192 Water Street or call 436-7323.
