MILTON - Milton Community Hall will be the site of laughter, stories and songs on Friday, March 7, for the third in the series of 2014 Minutes of Story and Song events to celebrate P.E.I.'s sesquicentennial. Patrick Ledwell and Mark Haines will present a show that will mix homegrown original comedy, and songs that move your feet and heartstrings.

Island performer Mark Haines assumes the role of Summerside native Paul MacWilliams in the play “The Dressing Room” being staged Wednesday night at the Harbourfront Theatre as part of Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada activities.

Their summer show has been called "a joyride of standup comedy and music that might just be one of the best ways to laugh at ourselves that has ever been done on P.E.I." The duo is looking forward to bringing that blend to this special show.

Ledwell, who calls Miltonvale Park home, (CBC Radio's "The Debaters," "Come-All-Ye," "The New Potato-Time Review") will perform comic slideshows that explore life on P.E.I.

Haines ("Come-All-Ye", "Anne & Gilbert") will bring his multi-instrumental gifts to the stage.

Support from the PEI 2014 Fund allows for special pricing of $10, which includes an Island lunch of biscuits, P.E.I. Preserve Company jams and tea. Fudge will also be for sale. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets may be reserved by called the Miltonvale Park Community Council office at 368-3090 or emailing admin@miltonvalepark.com.
