Douglas Gibson: Editor extraordinaire to present on March 6

CHARLOTTETOWN – As a part of UPEI’s Winter’s Tales Authors’ Reading Series, Douglas Gibson, Alice Munro’s editor and publisher, will give a presentation at the Confederation Centre Art Gallery in Charlottetown on Thursday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m.

He will share stories about his experiences of editing and publishing a ‘who’s who of Canadian authors,’ including Alistair MacLeod, Pierre Trudeau, Hugh MacLennan, Robertson Davies, and W.O. Mitchell.

Gibson will also sign copies of his new book, “Stories About Storytellers,” which Alice Munro described as “my prize read for those interested in writers, Canada, and life.” 

The evening with Canada’s most famous literary editor is co-hosted by the UPEI English Department and Confederation Centre Art Gallery, with funding from The Canada Council for the Arts.

Admission is free and all are welcome to attend.
