New dates for ‘Random Acts’ by Harbourfront Players

SUMMERSIDE — Harbourfront Theatre has announced a schedule change for the first two performances of “Random Acts”, a series of one-act plays by the Harbourfront Players.

Some of the Harbourfront Players, old and new, are coming together for “Random Acts.” The Players include (back, from left) Brent Slater, Vernon Campbell, Elaine Chessman, Wayne Murphy, Mike Ford, (centre row) Donna Gorrill, Karen Slater, Shelley Tamtom, Steph Betts, Carolyn Roche, and (front) Jennafer Beck, Jim Dickson, Nancy Smythe, and Juliana Elsinga.

The performances scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, and Sunday, Feb. 23, have been re-scheduled to Saturday, March 1, and Sunday, March 2, respectively.

The first set of plays, including Karen Slater’s “Harold”, Neil Simon’s “Visitors from Chicago”, and James McLure’s “Laundry and Bourbon”, will run March 1 at 7:30 p.m. and March 9 at 2 p.m.

The second series, opening once again with “Harold”, will include Neil Simon’s “Visitor from Philadelphia” and Noel Coward’s “Still Life”, and will take place on March 2 at 2 p.m. and March 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Each individual one-act play will vary in length from 15 to 60 minutes, with complimentary coffee, tea and sweets served at intermission.
