Sheila FitzPatrick will host a Mid-Winter Kitchen Party on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the BIS Hall in Charlottetown. The afternoon of music and fun will feature several of the groups in which she performs including Baile Beag, Treble with Girls and Fiddlers' Sons. All ages are welcome.
Hosted by Montague fiddler, Sheila FitzPatrick, as a fundraiser for her latest recording project, the show will feature several of the groups in which she plays including Baile Beag, Treble with Girls, and Fiddlers' Sons.
"I'm very lucky to be able to play with many great musicians and entertainers,” said Fitzpatrick. “Each group I'm involved with is different from each other so I'm really looking forward to having everyone together on one stage. I'm sure it's going to be a fun afternoon for everyone.”
FitzPatrick has been playing across P.E.I. for a number of years. An original member of Fiddlers' Sons, she recorded several CDs with that group before going out on her own with a debut, solo recording. She has performed for the prime minister of Canada, the Governor General for Canada and at the Canada Winter Games in Whitehorse, NWT.
The afternoon kitchen party in Charlottetown will feature a 50/50 draw and a light lunch served at intermission. Admission to the show is by cash only at the door with children 12 and under admitted for free.
The BIS Hall is located at 582 North River Road in Charlottetown.
