Sir John A.’s birthday celebration happening at P.E.I. Brewing Company

CHARLOTTETOWN – Jan. 11 is Sir John A. Macdonald’s 199th birthday and the birthday party will be celebrated at the P.E.I. Brewing Company in Charlottetown, with music, food, prizes, and more.

Haunted Hearts will be performing for the Sir John A. Macdonald birthday party at the P.E.I Brewing Company on Saturday. The band, based in Charlottetown, consists of Dennis Ellsworth, Johnny Ross, Blu Gillis and Mike MacDougall.

It will be a full day of celebrations starting in the afternoon with free live entertainment
from 1-5 p.m. Guests are invited to sign John A.’s birthday card for a chance to win a restaurant/hotel package from Gahan House and the Great George. There will also be free birthday treats and a P.E.I. 2014 Photobooth. The brick pizza oven will be roaring all day offering pizza by the slice.

The first prime minister’s birthday party will continue into the evening at the Brewing Company. The evening concert will feature the return of Haunted Hearts as well as performances by Racoon BanditThe North LakesChris Dalziel Music, and Silent Disco with a guest DJ providing the music upstairs. Admission for the evening concert will be $10 at the door. Doors open at 8 p.m. with the music at starting at 9 p.m.

The Brewery Bus will be providing free shuttle service to the Charlottetown downtown area.
