Island Toastmasters bring home awards

At the Toastmasters District 45 Conference in Saint John, N.B., three toastmasters associated with the P.E.I. area walked away with awards.

Toastmasters regional award winners from P.E.I. include (from left) Raymond Savoie, Toastmasters Division Governor for the Island, who was presented the Division Governor for 2012-2013 Award, and Jeanne Mance Cormier of the P.E.I. Spotlight Club was awarded the Shirley Kelly Award for dedication to Toastmasters. Norma Pasatieri, a member of Speak-Easy, Confederation and Spotlight clubs, was awarded the Area Governor for 2012-2013 award.

The Toastmasters program welcomes guests to their Speak-Easy Club in Summerside, which meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month at Sobeys Community Room at 6 p.m. For information contact Edith Hogan at 436-2756.

Guests are also welcome to the Premiere Club, which meets every Wednesday at Holland College.
