ALBERTON -- Comedian Shawn Hogan is coming home for Christmas and he is bringing a rising star in stand-up comedy with him.
Hogan, who is from Mill River, has been honing his craft in Toronto. He gave special performances at home last Christmas and has been invited back for more. He will open shows at the Albert and Crown in Alberton on Friday and Sunday, December 20 and 22, 7 p.m. before turning the stage over to K. Trevor Wilson.
Wilson, who has opened for the likes of Louis C.K. and was featured at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, “is really starting to take off,” Hogan noted. “He’s clean and fantastic.”
As for Hogan, he has been hosting a free show, The Hangover Cure Comedy Show, on an outdoor patio, attracting a good following. Hot chocolate, heaters and blanket, he chuckled, helped take the chill off the one he hosted last month.
Tickets to the upcoming shows in Alberton can be reserved by calling the Albert and Crown.
