If you missed out on getting tickets to Johnny Reid’s sold-out New Year’s Eve ’14 Opening celebration in Charlottetown on Dec. 31, fans can catch Reid’s Christmas concerts in Moncton or Halifax next week.

As part of a 15-date national tour titled “A Christmas Gift To You,” three-time JUNO Award winner and acclaimed multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Reid will perform at the Moncton Coliseum on Tuesday, Dec. 17, and the Halifax Metro Centre on Wednesday, Dec. 18. Show time is 7:30 p.m.
As for the Charlottetown New Year’s Eve indoor concert, which also features Lennie Gallant and More Soul, the general admission tickets are sold out but there are hotel packages with tickets still available.
Over the course of the past seven years, Reid has inspired legions of fans with his songs, that has resulted in the past three albums and DVDs, all being certified platinum (or higher) in Canada and totaling more than one million units scanned.
In October, Universal Music Canada released Reid’s “A Christmas Gift To You.” This 12-song collection of traditional and time-honoured songs embrace the spirit of the season, with acclaimed producer Bob Ezrin behind the console. The joy and warmth that is Christmas can be heard in every note, as interpreted by Reid's signature voice.
Nominated for a 2012 JUNO Award for Single of the Year, Reid released his sixth studio album, “Fire It Up” in March 2012. The followup to 2010’s certified double-platinum album, “A Place Called Love,” debuted at No. 1 on the SoundScan Top 200 Album Chart and spent four weeks as the bestselling album in Canada.
Reid has been the recipient of numerous industry awards, multiple Top 5 radio singles and No. 1 videos. In 2011, he was honoured with the Slaight Music Humanitarian Award for his outstanding efforts on behalf of organizations such as the World Vision Foundation, Children's Aid Foundation, MusiCounts and the Make a Wish Foundation of Canada.
