To mark the occasion of the St. John’s Anglican Church’s 175th anniversary recently, the Sunday school class of 2013 put together a time capsule with a letter describing what life is like, the interests of the class members and what the popular gadgets, TV shows and music are.

Here the MacNeill boys show the time capsule to Rev. Jenny Sharp of St. John’s Church in St. Eleanors. The Sunday school students put together a time capsule during the St. John's Church's 175th anniversary celebrations recently.

The time capsule is to be opened by the congregation in 2038.

The Sunday school students also included some pennies and other coins, birthday candles from the church’s birthday cake, “silly bands”, artwork by Jodi Cameron, a picture and letter from Keira Rogers, a Walmart flyer “to show how much things cost in 2013,” a newspaper and a church bulletin.
