CHARLOTTETOWN – A day retreat for men is being offered at the Martha Spirituality Centre, on Saturday, Oct. 26, in Charlottetown from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The retreat will be led by Fr. Phil Callaghan, presently pastor of Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Stratford.
This retreat will be based on the book by Mathew Fox, “The Hidden Spirituality of Men”. In his book, Fox challenges men to open their minds to a deeper understanding of the healthy masculine rather than believe what we receive from media, culture, and religions. To awaken what Fox calls the “sacred masculine," he unearths 10 metaphors, or archetypes, to inspire men to pursue their higher calling to reinvent the world.
All interested men are invited to participate in this retreat at Martha Spirituality Centre, located at SDU Place at 45 Great George Street. The fee is $30, payable at the door.
Participants are to bring a brown bag lunch and refreshments will be provided. This retreat is limited to 30 men. Participants must register by calling 367-3103 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
