Quickly approaching the end of their summer concert series, the group has invited the energetic and talented Acadian duo of Louise Arsenault and Helen Bergeron to Close to the Ground this Thursday, Sept. 12, at 8 p.m. at the Kaylee Hall in Pooles Corner.
Former members of the world-renowned group, Barachois, Arsenault and Bergeron come from a musical family in western P.E.I. The pair's fiddle tunes, piano playing and step-dancing celebrate the colourful Acadian music and culture of their region.
Performing in English and French, their lively performance is always contagious, getting audiences moving to the beat.
The show is open to all ages with admission by cash only at the door. The Kaylee Hall is in Pooles Corner at the intersection of Routes 3 and 4, just outside of Montague.
The Close to the Ground series runs every Thursday until the end of September.
