SUMMERSIDE – With Valentine’s Day approaching and the season of love in the air, Summerside Presbyterian Church will be joining forces with Kendall Docherty, Phase Two and Brian Knox to host a special fundraising concert entitled "Lyrics Of Love".
This concert will be taking place at the new Summerside Presbyterian Church, located at 130 Victoria Road in Summerside, on Sunday, Feb. 17, for a matinee show from 2-4 p.m.
This concert will feature the heartwarming vocals of Kendall Docherty and Gerry Hickey delivering their renditions of some of the greatest love songs of all times. The evening will also feature the master musicianship of Blaine Murphy on guitar, Pat King on keyboards and tenor sax, John McGarry on bass guitar, Blair Zinc on drums and Brian Knox on percussion. This group has been performing together all over the Island for the past two years, and crowds have been impressed with the dedication this group gives to researching the music that is tailored to each show and special occasion where they perform.
After a successful fall run which included the Island-wide presentation of "A Night of Remembrance" the group performed in an even more successful follow-up holiday show entitled "The Christmas Story in Song". This afternoon of music will be the perfect event to cheer up those suffering from the winter blues.
Tickets are available at the door, and refreshments will be served.
