SUMMERSIDE – The Harbourfront Theatre will be welcoming Sursaut dance company back to their stage with one of their newer works, “boo!,” on Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 7 p.m.
In a captivating 60-minute performance, “boo!” explores a series of dance, mime, clown and circus vignettes that brings forth wonder and smiles in a world where the poetry of the body is at the fore.
Meet two of boo!'s amusing and enchanting characters: Cyril and Penelope Topsy Turvy. Cyril is gifted with a natural talent for movement – for the stage. In this dreamlike presentation, the audience is witness to the unfolding of this precious treasure.
Penelope Topsy Turvy is polite, beautiful, and sweet; so like a princess on the outside. On the inside she feels stuck and imprisoned by this artificial beauty. Penelope is beside herself; inside a revolt is brewing.
This quirky, family-friendly show stirs up giggles with their curious characters, articulate movement and playful partnering. It is a rendezvous with the unexpected that will leave you smiling.
