Nash plays acoustic guitar, piano and banjo. His humorous between-songs banter and stories are fixtures of his live shows. He is regularly heard on CBC radio, SIRIUS/XM Satellite Radio, the BBC, and National Public Radio stations across North America. He has also been a volunteer board member of both the Ontario Council of Folk Festivals and Arts Can Circle, an organization that brings workshops and donates musical instruments to isolated First Nations' communities.
Nash is a co-founder and producer of “The Way We Feel,” a multi-artist annual concert celebrating the music of Gordon Lightfoot. The show has featured dozens of Canadian roots musicians over the years and Lightfoot himself has appeared at the show several times.
Sunday’s concert in Bedeque offers an opportunity to get up close and personal with Nash in the comfort of the inn’s cozy parlour in a rare afternoon show. Coffee and tea will be provided free of charge, along with a few snacks, also free. Drinks, like beer and wine, are available for purchase during the show.
Can’t make it to Maplethorpe on Nov. 25? Nash is playing in two more P.E.I. homes over the next few days. On Tuesday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m., he’ll be in Mermaid at the home of Jody and Tara Walsh (940-3660) and on Wednesday, Nov. 28, at 7:30 p.m. at the Elmwood Heritage Inn in Charlottetown (368-3310).
