Welshmen Community Band bring early Christmas gift

CHARLOTTETOWN – The Christmas season starts a little earlier this year, with the Holland College Welshman Community Band Concert taking place Monday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the Centre for Community Engagement on the Prince of Wales Campus in Charlottetown.

The concert band will play a wide range of selections ranging from the music of Cirque Du Soleil, Gypsy music, light classical music and a Christmas medley. The concert will feature the 50-piece concert band made up of students and community musicians from across P.E.I. The concert will also feature the Holland College Jazz/Funk Band. 

There will be some special guests, including fiddler Kendra MacGillivray with her Celtic and World Music Ensemble class, and even a visit from Santa.

There is no admission charge, but cash donations for the band fund, or food donations will be gratefully received.
