CHARLOTTETOWN - Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet will perform their latest spectacle, "In Tandem" on Saturday, Nov. 10, in the Homburg Theatre. To celebrate this internationally renowned troupe's Charlottetown performance, Confederation Centre is hosting an elegant fundraiser soiree with the dance company before and after the show.

"Bubbles and Ballet" offers the public a rare occasion to enjoy champagne and delectables in the Confederation Centre Art Gallery and attend a behind-the-scenes talk from members of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's (RWB) artistic team. These professionals will speak on the creative process behind Peter Quanz's "In Tandem" and take questions from those in attendance.

The Art Gallery, one of the largest in Eastern Canada, will be the setting for this rendezvous having recently mounted five striking exhibits that will be made accessible on the night.

Following the ballet, the night will continue with the chance for guests to mingle with the RWB dance company. Mavor's restaurant will host an exclusive reception for the troupe, creative team and special guests where the champagne and revelry is expected to flow into the night.

Tickets for this fundraiser also grant the audience member priority seating for the "In Tandem" performance. A portion of the funds collected will be used to fund a workshop with the Confederation Centre's dance umbrella students from guest instructor Liam Caines of the RWB.

A tax receipt will be issued for a segment of the ticket price that is deductible. To reserve, contact Sarah Hastelow at 629-1159 or via email at shastelow@confederationcentre.com. For more information on the evening, visit confederationcentre.com.
