INDIAN RIVER – The Indian River Festival is bringing back more music theatre with this summer’s production of the musical comedy, “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”.
The family show is set to hit the stage of the summer music festival on July 10 for a one-night-only performance and will feature a cast of six young talented P.E.I. actors, under the direction of Debi Voye and Mark Ramsay.
Clark Gesner’s show, based on the famous Peanuts characters by Charles M. Schulz, first hit Broadway in 1971 and made a smash-hit revival in 1999.
Auditions for the production will be held during the month of May and young Island performers, between the ages of 16 and 28, are encouraged to apply.
Those applicants selected for an audition will be asked to prepare a song from the show as well as a short reading. Applicants should send a brief performance resume and current photo to christine@indianriverfestival.com before May 1 to be considered for an audition.
