The Erin Carmody rink of Charlottetown was all smiles after winning the top prize earlier today in the Maritime Junior Fall Cash Fling, held over the weekend at the Silver Fox Curling and Yacht Club. Awaiting their $500 first place cheque from organizer Sheila Compton are, from left, skip and Summeride native Erin Carmody, Geri-Lynn Ramsay, Jessica Van Ouwerkerk and Darcee Birch. The Carmody team edged the Brittani Jeans rink from the Gage Curling Club in Oromocto, NB. The win avenged a round-robin loss to the Gage team.
