O'LEARY - The Kensington Clark Insurance Granites staved off elimination in
the Superior Coach Lines Island Senior Hockey League on Tuesday night.
The Granites won 4-2 to prevent the O'Leary Guardian Drug Maroons from
sweeping the best-of-seven semifinal series. The Maroons will take a 3-1
lead into Game 5 at Community Gardens in Kensington on Saturday night. Game
time is 7:45 p.m.

O'LEARY - The Kensington Clark Insurance Granites staved off elimination in
the Superior Coach Lines Island Senior Hockey League on Tuesday night.
The Granites won 4-2 to prevent the O'Leary Guardian Drug Maroons from
sweeping the best-of-seven semifinal series. The Maroons will take a 3-1
lead into Game 5 at Community Gardens in Kensington on Saturday night. Game
time is 7:45 p.m.
At the O'Leary Community Sports Centre, Andrew Hayes (2-1), Brad Doiron and
Ian Postma scored for the Granites. Tyler Murphy (2), Marc Halbot, Mark
Gregory, Jonathan Cameron and Kirk MacPhee chipped in with assists.
Andre Howard and Matt Morgan answered for the Maroons, who received single
helpers from Kory Cooke, Steven Smallman, Ben Clark and Darcy Harris.
After a scoreless first period, the Granites took a 2-1 advantage into the
second intermission.
Tim MacPhee earned the goaltending win over Matt Wood.

    now that tignish has david oliver back expect the maroons to lose the next 3 games as well.
