Canada West extends lead with highlight-reel goal

SUMMERSIDE -

SUMMERSIDE -- Cody Kunyk's highlight-reel goal at the 12-minute mark of the second period has given Canada West a 6-1 lead over Canada East in a semifinal game at the 2009 World Junior 'A' Hockey Challenge on Friday night.

Kellen Jones sent Kunyk down the right wing and he cut across the goal to his left, waited for Canada East goaltender Jordan Ruby to go down before firing the puck just under the cross-bar.
