Jacayla Ezeard, born July 1998, is 16 years old and is a Grade 11 student at Grace Christian School.  She has two brothers and two sisters and is the second youngest in my family. Some of her interests include music, baking, playing golf, travelling, and journalism. Jacayla volunteers weekly with the kid’s program at her church and is the student council secretary for her school. Honoured and excited to be a Teen Scene writer; she looks forward to this year and having my voice be heard on this Island.   



Haylee Anderson born on June 13th, 1998 in Summerside, P.E.I. is 16 years old and attends Grade 11 at Kinkora Regional High School. She loves reading fantasy novels, listening to rock music and enjoys writing. Haylee has two younger siblings, Taylor and Avrey, and three pets. She can also speak French, because she was in a late immersion program for a few years.



Haley MacLeod is sixteen years old and is your average, opinionated, run of the mill teenager. Born and raised in Vernon River, she attended school from kindergarten to grade nine at Vernon River Consolidated. After her time at Montague Regional High School, she plans on continuing her passion of writing and study to become a journalist.




Shane Pendergast is a 16 year old from Tracadie Cross, attending Morell Regional High School. On his free time he likes making movies with his friends, cooking, playing basketball, and strumming guitar. Shane is an avid fan of the outdoors and outdoor sports such as skiing. He performs on stage all summer, and when free spends his time at the beach and with family.




Julia Richardson is in Grade 11 student at Bluefield High School. She lives with her parents Paul and Suzanne, and siblings; Melissa, James and Laura in the beautiful community of Kingston. While her favourite hobbies include reading, drawing, and playing soccer, she enjoys writing just as much; be it for school or just a casual short story when she gets the inspiration. To Julia, life is a journey, not a destination and along that journey are opportunities and new experiences. Teen Scene P.E.I. is just one of these adventures, one she’s very excited to partake in.



Adrien Buote, is 17 and a Grade 12 student at École François-Buote. He is president of student council and love devoting his time to organizing activities for the students. A proud Royal Canadian Sea Cadet, one of his favorite activities is sailing. When Adrien is not at school or on the water, you will probably find him reading a book, listening to music or biking on down the road.


Ashley Langdon attends Colonel Grey High School and lives in Charlottetown, PEI.  She has a rather different and interesting perspective on things that are going on around her, making Teen Scene a perfect fit. Ashley comes from Aboriginal descent and this culture is a big part of her life. Reading best sellers and newly discovered fiction gems are a big part of her life and seeing her without a book in hand or reading is an odd sight. 



Emma Paynter is a grade 11 student at Three Oaks Senior High, with a passionate love for all her classes. She is an honors student and proud winner of 3rd place in the 2013 Island Literary Awards. She had a strong interest in astronomy and has spent many sleepless nights contemplating the fate of the universe. When she is not busy worrying about our impending doom, she enjoys reading, browsing the internet and listening to podcasts. Liam Payne is a grade eleven student at Charlottetown Rural High School who finds joy writing about topics concerning current events, world issues, and the arts.  For him, creating and publishing work is a unique way to share his thoughts and opinions with society and in some cases, inform readers on fresh topics headlining global news.



Meet Hayley Wood, she is sixteen years of age and currently lives in Richmond, Prince Edward Island. Hayley attends classes at Westisle Composite High School, with the hopes to further her education in medical sciences and radiology at Dalhousie University. One of her biggest passions is photography. “I love capturing the world in ways many have never seen.” – Miss Wood.
