Although he is no longer in a position of public leadership, I believe that Michael Ignatieff was and still is a positive leader.  Although I did not know him personally, I felt that he was an honest person and a wise leader.  He had an approachable attitude, which is a quality that the leader of Canada should have.

Despite Conservative attack ads, which seem to convince credulous Canadians, Michael Ignatieff lit a fire in the hearts of those who heard him speak and had personal encounters with him.  I believe that he cared greatly for Canadians and for the welfare of Canadian families.  His approach to political and legal issues was positive and reflected what would benefit the average Canadian.  He cared about people—not his own political agenda—and I believe this is one of the most valuable traits that a political leader could posses.

A great leader should be a servant rather than a dictator.  I believe that Michael Ignatieff was the greatest and most positive leader that Canada never had.
