SUMMERSIDE?- A group of 25 Department of Education and Early Childhood Development employees began working in Summerside this week as part of the department's permanent relocation.
Education Minister Gerard Greenan said this first phase of the move will help plan the relocation of 85 more staff in July 2010.
"We have 25 employees now settling into their new office space in the historic Holman's building on Water Street," said Greenan.
Most of the employees who are relocating now live in the Prince County area, the department said. Many are curriculum or program specialists or employees who provide services in the Prince County area.
The new office space also includes work stations for employees who will be working at the Summerside site a few days a week.
